SHANDRA BLACKER

Shandra earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Idaho State University and her master's degree in social work from Boise State University, where her academic focus included school counseling and crisis intervention.

Shandra has extensive training and experience in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment designed to help children and adolescents heal from the effects of trauma. She has also worked in the specialty mental health court system, serving on a multidisciplinary team supporting adolescents with complex behavioral health needs.

She enjoys working with both adolescents and adults and is passionate about helping individuals overcome obstacles, build resilience, and create lives that feel rich, meaningful, and aligned with their values. Her therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique strengths, experiences, and goals.

Shandra utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. These techniques allow her to effectively address the complex challenges individuals and families may face while supporting lasting growth and positive change.
