MELISSA DAVENPORT

Melissa is a dedicated physician assistant who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families throughout the Rigby community and surrounding areas. Originally from Utah, she made Idaho her home after marrying an Idaho native and has developed a deep appreciation for the people and communities she serves.

Melissa completed her undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University–Idaho before earning her Physician Assistant degree from Idaho State University in 2011. Since then, she has enjoyed helping patients navigate their healthcare needs by focusing on compassionate care, education, and building strong provider-patient relationships.

Melissa believes that effective healthcare begins with listening. She enjoys getting to know her patients, understanding their unique experiences, and partnering with them to develop personalized treatment plans that support their individual health goals. Her approachable and caring nature helps patients feel comfortable, respected, and empowered in their healthcare journey.

As a member of the Rigby Community Care team, Melissa values the opportunity to care for multiple generations of families and enjoys the lasting relationships that develop through family medicine. She is committed to helping patients improve their health, prevent illness, and maintain active, fulfilling lives.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys reading, running, gardening, singing, and a variety of other hobbies. However, her favorite activities are those she can share with her husband and daughter. She values time spent with family and appreciates the balance and perspective it brings to both her personal life and her work as a healthcare provider.
